The official conference hotel is the Marriott Los Angeles Burbank Airport Hotel. The hotel and convention center is an easily accessible, comfortable venue in which to hold an event like Jamboree.
Due to unprecedented demand, the Marriott is full and we have contracted for an additional block of rooms at Courtyard by Marriott, which is just a mile away. Complimentary shuttle service will be available between the two hotels.
Hotel Reservation Deadline. Make your reservations early while rooms are still available.
Sessions in the Convention Center and the Hotel. We have booked the entire convention center, as well as the City Ballroom in the main hotel, throughout the entire Jamboree weekend. Again in 2014, we will have 600 additional seats in two Jamboree Pavilions which will be located to the east of the Convention Center building.
Conference Room Temperature. As is often the case with hotel conference rooms, the meeting room temperature can vary from room to room and from hour to hour. The Marriott staff is very diligent in trying to keep the temperatures comfortable, but it is all but impossible to maintain consistent temperatures. We strongly suggest that you dress in layers and bring a sweater in case you happen to find yourself in a cooler room.
Handicap Access. All conference rooms are handicapped-accessible and are located on one floor. The hotel has a limited number of handicap parking slots. We will have an additional (the first row directly to the east of the Convention Center) reserved for handicap parking.
The Marriott is a smoke-free facility. That holds true for the conference area as well as the sleeping rooms.
Roommate Connection - Save Money and Make New Friends. Jamboree offers a roommate matching service for those who wish to reduce lodging expenses. If you are interested in such an arrangement, please send an email to Dorothy at firstname.lastname@example.org. Give Dorothy your name, dates of attendance, and tell her a little about you: gender, late/early riser, party girl or robe-and-slippers type or if you suffer from allergies.
Food and Refreshments.
Parking. Anyone familiar with the parking situation at the Marriott knows that it's a headache. Let's face it. Parking is one of the ugliest aspects of Jamboree at the Marriott. It's the aspect of Jamboree that gets the most complaints. It's our biggest issue with the Marriott. We are going to try to make it as painless as possible.

There is a Bank of America lot located just to the north of the Marriott that is closed to our use on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, however, those spots are open.
The Marriott is aware of the challenges with parking and they are in discussions with Burbank officials to identify alternatives for overflow parking. Overflow parking will be available and maps and instructions will be available prior to June 2014. Parking. Discounted parking at the Marriott costs $10 per day. Valet parking is available at $25 per day. There is a 10-minute drop-off time, so if a driver is dropping off someone at the Marriott and then leaving, they will not need to pay for parking within the first 10 minutes
Paying for Parking. Overnight guests of the Marriott enjoy in-and-out privileges, and parking charges can be added to your hotel bill for your convenience. Overnight guests, use your room key to go in and out of the parking lot. Commuters can pay the attendant for parking at the kiosk inside the convention center. Attendant hours will be posted at Jamboree.
